Design 104 is an introduction into computers for first year design students at Victoria University. As you can see my name is Simon and as you might of guessed I'm a first year design student at Vic.The paper 104 acted as intro for computer design processes for my desired major of Interior Architecture. My first project was to create two rooms and a corridor in a computer game called Unreal Tournament ,and this was done using the programme unreal tournament editor .The purpose of this first project was to create two contrasting rooms ,one which portrayed a normal feel and another room that portrayed a mutant feel. There was a number of different precedents ranging from architects ,lanscape architects and sculptors to inspire our ideas for our level. My chosen precedent was Michael heizer who is large-scale sculptor and a land artist .Therfor my final level design had a Michael Heizer feel and my chosen normal and mutant theme's were of art pieces of Mona-lisa and picasso's "sitting Lady".The final outcome of this project was to challenge and develop the Interior architecture majoror's with the neccesary skills for further years.
